Kevin Durant calls heckling 'corny' and 'weak'

Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant was fined $25,000 by the National Basketball Association on Tuesday, November 20 (Wednesday, November 21, Manila time) for an obscenity-laced response to a heckler during a loss Saturday at Dallas.

The incident occurred with 1:01 remaining in the first quarter of the Warriors' 112-109 road loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. Grown men can't come to games and heckle grown men.

In addition to Curry and Green, Golden State will also not have Alfonzo McKinnie available due to left foot soreness and DeMarcus Cousins, who is not expected to play until later in the season after tearing his left Achilles last season with the Pelicans.

Despite suggestions by teammates that there's "no way" he'll return to the team following an incident with Draymond Green, Kevin Durant says the altercation won't have any impact on what he does in free agency. "That's corny. That's weak".

The NBA has fined Durant US$25,000 ($36,766 NZD) for reportedly telling the courtside heckler to "watch the f***ing game and shut the f*** up". "You're soft. You're weak. You're going to sleep as a grown man doing that to another person?"

Green was the only player suspended for a game (without pay) against the Atlanta Hawks after his November 12 altercation with Durant.

But the Warriors have struggled so far this season, losing 3 games in a row to fall to 12-6, out of the Western Conference lead behind Memphis, Portland and the Los Angeles Clippers.
