In celebration of BlizzCon, the Overwatch team released a brand new short centering around everyone's favorite anachronistic cyborg cowboy, Jesse McCree. In Overwatch, the essential part of Lucio's character is that his music has literal healing properties, and the news story mostly provides a story explanation for them.
Blizzard has announced that its newest hero being added to Overwatch is Ashe, who was heavily featured during the McCree animated short highlighted at BlizzCon 2018.
It had been rumoured that the new Overwatch character - hero 29 - was going to be the Junker Queen.
Ashe is the leader of the Deadlock Gang. Just as interestingly, it sounds like Ashe is voiced by Jennifer Hale, who in 2013 was awarded the Guinness world record for "most prolific female video game voice actor" for her work in games like Metal Gear Solid, Mass Effect and plenty of others. She uses dynamite, a semi-automatic rifle named Viper and a blast back gun that can propel her into the air. And when aiming down the sight, Ashe can deal even more damage with a more precise shot. When it detonates, it lights enemies on fire and deals damage over a period of time.
Below are a number of images of Ashe, B.O.B, and their abilities in action. Let's hope that Bob, Ashe's robo sidekick summoned by her ultimate, gets to play dress-up for real.
