President of the year: Trump says he is doing a great job

Trump wrote, deliberately altering the spelling of the lawmaker's last name.

At a hotel in Danang on November 10, 2017, while on an 11-day visit to the region, Trump made a speech and told the seven Vietnam War veterans present that "You are the heroes who fulfill your duty to our nation", according to the White House transcript and White House media pool reports.

As Trump said that he couldn't speak for other countries, Wallace interrupted him, suggesting that he was viewed as a "beacon for repression around the world" while citing his crusade against the fake news media.

"Look at Florida", Trump said.

"Barack Obama whined about Fox News all the time but he never said we were the enemy of the people", Wallace said. And if I didn't put a spotlight on that election before it got down to the 12,500 votes, he would have lost that election, OK? They would have taken that election away from him.

"Most of it is bias, most of it is bias", said Trump of the media's coverage of his presidency, after Wallace had agreed that "some" was bias.

He said Mr. Trump has been attentive to Gold Star families who've lost relatives in battle and lobbied for higher pay and better funding for the military.

"They're very competitive people, and at the end I make a decision and it's certainly - on the economy, a lot of things we've been - we've made a lot of good decisions", President Trump added.

"We give Pakistan $1.3 billion a year". "They wouldn't let me do it".

"But this is Veterans Day", Wallace noted. I probably, you know, in retrospect I should have and I did last year and I will virtually every year.

Trump touted the GOP's Senate victory in the midterms, calling it a "historic" win.

Trump said "we had come in very late at night and I had just left, literally, the [Suresnes] American Cemetery in Paris and I really probably assumed that was fine and I was extremely busy because of affairs of state - doing other things".
