Starbucks doubles down on Christmas with new holiday cups

Starbucks has been introducing new holiday cups each fall since 1997.

First, lest there be any panic: the Gingerbread Latte, Peppermint Mocha, Chestnut Praline Latte, Caramel Brulé Latte, and Eggnog Latte are all coming back, as well as their Cranberry Bliss bar, and Christmas Blend brewed coffee and beans.

Starbucks prices can vary depending on location.

We've noted in the past that the cups sometimes cause an uproar in the culture wars throughout the country.

You'll pay a little less for the hot cocoa. This drink also comes in a kid-size, which was $2.85.

Last year's cups drew the ire of some Grinches who were upset that the cups allowed people to fill in their own holiday color schemes. The third, inspired by the styling of Starbucks' coffee bags, has vertical white and red-toned stripes. The fourth and final design is white featuring red coffee cherries and green leaves, similar to holly. Customers who order a holiday drink will get a complimentary cup.

The "Stargyle" sweater cup takes inspiration from the stars illustrated around Starbucks stores, and those that have appeared in the company's logo, since its founding in 1971. Now that Halloween decorations are coming down, you can look forward to the season ahead with a festive new collection that hits Starbucks stores in the US and Canada on Friday, November 2. Many stores have already run out.

The cups and the festive drinks and eats will be available for customers across the country starting November 2.
