Stephen Curry uninjured after vehicle crash in Oakland

According ABC's Oakland affiliate, the crash occurred around 9 a.m. on Highway 24, when a vehicle spun out and hit the front of Curry's black Porsche.

That's when a silver Lexus traveling westbound near Highway 13 lost control, spun out and hit the center divide before hitting the Porsche traveling in the No. 1 lane. First, a vehicle spun out and hit him, and then a second auto came into the fold and rear-ended him.

CHP said the weather - it's been raining in parts of California - likely played a role in the crash. He's at the facility and is still unavailable to play tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers as he continues to nurse a groin strain. The 30-year-old basketball star will also miss out on the Warriors' Saturday game against the Sacramento Kings.

Fortunately for the Warriors, the accident seems to not have any negative effects on Curry or his lingering injury.

The Warriors have suffered an injury-plagued season.

Curry has been beginning to do light workouts with the team before Friday's crash.

"Right now we obviously are short-handed but we're not going to make excuses for these upcoming games", said Klay Thompson after Friday's shootaround.
