Deontay Wilder And Tyson Fury Nearly Became Physical During Intense Staredown

Earlier today (Wed. November 28, 2018) the final pre-fight press conference between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury went down.

World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Wilder and Fury will collide in a high-stakes showdown at the Staples Center on Saturday which could see the victor advance to a money-spinning unification bout.

Things have already gotten pretty heated between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder leading up to their fight on Saturday.

The 30-year-old Fury, who has battled back from depression and drug abuse to land his shot against Wilder, opened by stating bluntly he expected to knock out the American champion (40-0, 39 knockouts).

"I know when a man's scared - Wilder's terrified of me".

"He's only got confidence because Klitschko didn't throw no punches, that will give you confidence - if you've got a punching bag in the ring".

It was all fun and games until Wilder's finger got too close to Fury's face for the Brit's liking and "The Gypsy King" then shoved his opponent away.

"But I am capable of having a fight with anyone in the world and I am capable of out-boxing anyone in the world". "I've never seen him in the Olympics, I've never seen him medal".

"I don't got to say it, I'm the best and I'm going to show you who's the best of the division".
