Goodfellas actor Frank Adonis dies age 83

Frank was widely known for his involvement in Martin Scorsese's most famous films. "He was my best friend", Adonis' widow told TMZ. Unfortunately, another one of the most talented faces in Hollywood has passed away as Frank Adonis' wife has confirmed that the Goodfellas star died in his Las Vegas home yesterday. The news website added he had been on dialysis and was on a ventilator for the past nine days. "He was a great father and an wonderful husband", she said in a statement. He helped all his friends he could. "He was my best friend", she said in a statement to the celebrity news site. However, his family chose to wait until after Christmas before taking him off that. He was 83 years old. Adonis also featured in Jim Carrey's Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and the Charlie Sheen-led Wall Street, as well as had TV roles on The Sopranos and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Frank Adonis' career started in 1971 and he had over 40 acting credits to his name (he was sometimes credited by his birth name Frank Scioscia).

He is survived by his wife and their two children, and his daughter from a previous relationship, per TMZ.
