Kingdom Hearts III Director thanks fans for support, promises to investigate leaks

One of the most anticipated games of 2019, Kingdom Hearts III, isn't due out until the end of January, but it has already leaked in some capacity. Apparently, someone got hold of some retail copies of the game and sold them via Facebook Marketplace.

It's an incredibly busy spring for video games next year, with the usual quiet months of January and February stuffed full of major new releases. Mods on the Kingdom Hearts subreddit are threatening to ban players who ask for copies of the leak or post links to sites with the leaks.

Kingdom Hearts 3 leaked yesterday, and the game's director Tetsuya Nomura has released a statement asking fans not to circulate gameplay videos. Many longtime fans of the series anxious that this would lead to potential spoilers popping up online. He also revealed that the game's epilogue and secret movie will be locked as a precaution until the game is officially released. We are also aware as to how it all happened.

While Nomura suggests that the biggest game spoilers are not yet out there, we would still recommend caution and care if you want to avoid all spoilers over the next month or so. "We're sorry to see this caused concern amongst our fans who are excited for the release", sad Nomura.

You can pre-order the Limited Edition Kingdom Hearts 3 PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle at GameStop in the U.S. and GAME in the UK, the exclusive retailers for their respective regions. He also acknowledged the fact that many fans had warned against these leaks in his new statement.
