Captain Marvel: The latest clip tells you all about Skrull and Kree

The new teaser packs a fair amount of new footage into a minute and 30 seconds, particularly with regards to the Kree-Skrull war: We see Jude Law as Carol's Kree warrior mentor, as well as Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, the nefarious leader of the Skrulls.

Late Monday night during the College Football Playoff National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers, Marvel Studios dropped a special-look trailer for Captain Marvel. However, before she can fight Thanos, we will see her fight against Skrulls. There, she meets Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury - a young, two-eyed, eyepatch-less Nick that the Captain Marvel digital effects team created by de-aging Jackson in post-production.

All eyes are on Brie Larson if she can amp up the already incredibly amped Marvel Cinematic Universe with Captain Marvel. If he was joking and they knew he was just messing around, I'd hope they wouldn't have put the time travel part in the headline. You know, Carol, it's sort of like The Life of Pablo. In fact, the clip suggests that Captain Marvel may have planted the idea of creating The Avengers in Nick Fury and Agent Coulson's minds.

Check it out in the video above.

"She is more powerful than any character we've introduced thus far", Feige told EW last fall.

Set in the 1990s, the events of this film will tie into the Avengers sequel set to be released in May this year. The trailer didn't offer many details of his new guise, but an MCU fan who goes by name V2V Designs took to Reddit to share his or her vision of the full outfit.

Hence the de-aged Sam Jackson and Agent Coulson, plus the "I thought you were dead?" bad guy from the first GOTG film, as well as a few new faces. Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel will open in USA theaters on March 8, 2019.
