Chelsea striker Giroud welcomes Higuain competition at Stamford Bridge

This might be the flawless opportunity for Higuain to get his first minutes in a Chelsea shirt.

The striker has joined Chelsea on loan until the end of the season, after a complicated process securing his signature.

Up next Chelsea will play vs Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday and Higuain is more or less a guaranteed starter in that game. The Polish striker, a replacement for Chelsea-bound Gonzalo Higuain, has already scored 13 times this season for Genoa, putting him fourth in the Serie A goal rankings. "I am sure he will gain the same understanding with Gonzalo Higuain".

"I've been decisive in Wembley, in semifinals and finals", he said.

Napoli have been European heavyweights for some time now, Champions League regulars who consistently play some of the most entertaining football around. I'm sure he can handle these expectations.

"He has always produced good numbers wherever he has been". We dearly hope it's enough for him to bang in the goals for us this season. He is coming late but he is playing in a system that he is used to and the type of players we have will help him to achieve his best. "The conditions are good". "I was a very positive player, I liked to move around the pitch, find the spots on the pitch where I could receive the ball, turn and make the damage to the opposition".

"He's a fantastic striker, when you see his career he scored a lot of goals everywhere - Madrid, Napoli, Juventus".

"I don't think anybody involved in Sheffield Wednesday needs reminding because everybody realises how big the club is and the potential it has. He is a top scorer, he can score anywhere".

First-half goals from N'Golo Kante and Hazard handed Chelsea a 2-1 win on the night to overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit and the hosts prevailed 4-2 in the shootout at Stamford Bridge to set up a final meeting with holders Manchester City on Feb 24.

Hazard won the man-of-the-match award against Spurs and Zola was delighted with the Belgian's display.

"We don't question that these players can achieve peak performances, like they did yesterday".
