Everything you need to know about Ariana Grande's new music video

Her latest, "7 Rings", includes a surprising/creepy sample of The Sound of Music classic "My Favorite Things", but with a hip-hop beat and a noticeable absence of raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.

For those who don't know, the singer penned the song after she gifted herself and six of her friends rings from Tiffany & Co, after she had a "pretty rough day" in NYC.

'They got us very tipsy, so we bought seven engagement rings, and when I got back to the studio I gave everybody a friendship ring'. "Gee, thanks, just bought it/I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it".

For a while now, Ariana has been teasing the release of the new song on her social medias, including aesthetically pleasing photos, clips of the song, videos, and lyrics.

She continued, "cause that sound really familiar to me". On the outro to "Mine", she says: Please do not ask me or any Black or Brown women if our hair is real or not. "Hmm...sounds about white", she said.

"7 rings" dropped just after midnight on Friday.

"I'ma big @princessnokia fan. We bought it, it's ours".

Nokia tagged Grande's username in the caption of her video, People reported.

Many, however, seem to agree with Princess Nokia's assessment of the similarities, with some going so far as to call it a "rip off" or "plagiarism".

Grande has yet to respond to Princess Nokia's diss.
