Kylie Jenner loses Instagram record to an egg

Jenner's birth announcement of daughter Stormi Webster on February 6 past year was the most popular post on the photo-sharing platform with 18.3 million likes but the egg, posted only 10 days ago, has already amassed 29.9 million. The picture, has been uploaded by the Instagram page "world_record_egg" has now become the most liked picture on Instagram, taking over Kylie Jenner's photograph.

18 million likes on a post is no small feat and initially when I checked out the photo back then, it had garnered over 200,000 likes.

Kylie Jenner has been officially dethroned as Instagram Queen by an unlikely successor.an egg.

In the video, Jenner can be seen touching the ground to ascertain its temperature before cracking an egg right there on the tarmac. "Sometimes, the will of the internet just bends in peculiar ways, and in this case, the internet decided it was into that egg", wrote the Times.

The hilarious post was captioned: "Take that little egg". "What a time to be alive", the story read. "Thank you so much for all of your support and messages".

The Facebook-owned social media platform has more than one billion monthly active users. Jenner's post announcing the birth of baby Stormi received over 18 million "likes", last February. It doesn't end here though, we're only just getting started.

The egg image knocked this cute photo off the top spot.

Who created the egg account and posted the now-famous egg photo?
