Temperatures will dip into the 20s and teens Sunday night

It remains very cold through Tuesday mid-day and then temperatures slowly climb into the low 20s.

People are cautioned to cover up as frostbite can start developing on exposed skin within minutes, especially when wind chill is factored in.

Cold northwest winds gusting to 35 miles per hour will keep highs in the upper 50s on Monday afternoon. High -1 C. Wind chill -12 in the morning and -6 in the afternoon. It will feel like 25 below zero in Worcester County on Monday morning. Winds will not be quite as strong, but wind chills as cold as -10° are likely once again.

A wind chill advisory went into effect after 8 inches of snow fell in Seneca County. The combination of northerly winds and single digit temperatures may result in wind chills down to -20 degrees!

Environment Canada suggests postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Snow showers move into the area by late Tuesday afternoon. As temperatures warm overnight, snow will change over to rain.

Temperatures will begin to climb above average, for a bit, mid week.

Another cold front coming through Thursday would stop the rain, but it would commence another round of cooler temperatures.
