Walton Provides Update on LeBron James

Hearing from sources if Lakers want Anthony Davis, who has requested a trade, LA has to start the deal with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, No. 1 pick.

Among the latest rumors involving Davis and his National Basketball Association future, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith spoke on the subject recently.

While the chances of getting a star player no better than Bradley Beal are slim, the Los Angeles Lakers are putting some of their young stars out there as carrots to dangle for other teams interest.

The analyst stated that he finds himself "very, very anxious right now as to whether or not the Lakers are going to be able to attract a marquee free agent".

Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans appeared to be approaching a crossroads for months on end, and that came to a head Monday morning with news agent Rich Paul has officially presented the team with a trade request. The Lakers have gone 5-10 in those games. I don't think this a shock, is it? "We'll see how his body responds to that, and from there we'll take it as far as making those scrimmages longer, or if he says, 'Hey I feel great, I'll see if I can play, ' then we'll make those adjustments".

But it has set off a potential civil war in Laker land. But a large reason why some have pointed to the Lakers pushing to get a deal done for Davis prior to the deadline is that the Celtics couldn't make a deal for him unless Kyrie Irving was involved now. You had to know he would get impatient when things got rocky.

These odds are pretty much what you'd probably expect now.

The team not only wants to make a big splash before the trade deadline to get another superstar, but it seems there might be a change with the head coach.

Walton's case is nothing new when LeBron James is in the picture.
