Apex Legends Revealed and Released

Perhaps the studio made a decision to switch engines for Titanfall 3, releasing Apex Legends (which is also reportedly on Source) as a stopgap as it pushed back the release of a proper third Titanfall game.

It's claimed Apex Legends will have a similar approach to Overwatch in regards to micro-transactions, but it's unclear whether this means lootboxes. It's super cool, but it leads up to the full reveal of everything at noon. The game is set in the Titanfall universe, and will reportedly be announced and launched on Monday, February 4, 2019.

Apex Legends is now available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

"So you probably don't have to call in sick, just fake food poisoning at lunch and go home early".

Rod "Slasher" Breslau tweeted that he had talked to a few streamers and content creators over the weekend who were brought in to Respawn to test out the game. We've also yet to hear about what kind of payment model this rumored Titanfall battle royale will be going with, although there are suggestions that Apex Legends will be launching as a free-to-play title. Players also apparently have to play in squads, so picking characters with complementary skills and a leader who can land in prime loot territory is part of the strategy. Instead of generic soldiers, players control specific legendary characters with colorful personalities and unique weaponry, but no wall-running?

When can I watch the Apex Legends reveal event? A Twitch live stream is planned for 8am PT / 4pm GMT.

No other information was provided apart from the Twitch link, which can be found above.

The same map was "leaked" previous year on Reddit, for what it's worth, so we'll see if this historic leak ends up being accurate or not when the livestream actually gets underway at 7pm.

In terms of gameplay, each session will have 60 players that can form teams of three, making a total of 20 teams in each game.
