Fans React To Travis Scott's Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Adam Levine of Maroon 5 performs during the halftime show. Then it was back to more Maroon 5... jams? We're honored Goofy Goobers Thanks to all the fans and @trvisxx!

Maroon 5 had faced some backlash following their decision to headline the halftime show. Maroon 5, along with guests Travis Scott and Big Boi, opened it up, but the introduction will have to do for fans. "As a tribute to his legacy, his contributions to a generation of children, and to truly showcase the greatness of this song, we call for "Sweet Victory" to be performed at the halftime show".

SpongeBob SquarePants fans were left disappointed Sunday after the Super Bowl LIII halftime show used just seconds of footage from the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon to introduce "Sicko Mode" performer Travis Scott.

In case you are unfamiliar with Kaepernick's plight, the former football player began kneeling during the national anthem in 2016 to protest police brutality. This year? Sorry. Straightforward Adam Levine wasn't going to do it, even with two nipples showing.

The Super Bowl 53 halftime show was a mess that dragged along with just enough flashes of potential excitement to keep you watching - you know, kind of like the game.

Fireworks heralded the beginning (and end) of Maroon 5's performance as they played on a stage in the shape of an M and started with their early hits Harder to Breathe and This Love.

"I'm not in the right profession if I can't handle a little bit of controversy".

Levine kept a positive message after learning about the criticism, he said, "We thank the universe for making our dreams possible". They then performed "She Will Be Loved" before Atlanta legend Big Boi took to the stage to perform OutKast classic 'The Way You Move'.

For something that was supposed to explode with pop exuberance, the performance felt oddly denuded of joy, although maybe you could ascribe part of that to the fact that Levine has never been the grinning-est frontman even under less pressure-cooker circumstances.

"[Adam Levine's] shirt so reminds me of one of our pillows", someone else tweeted. "They will be [heard] - that's all I want to say because I don't want to spoil anything", he said.
