Apex Legends Battle Pass available tomorrow

The final reward in Apex Legends' Season 1 battle pass might only look like a flashy, Legendary-tier weapon skin for the Havoc, but there's actually more to it than that.

After weeks of anticipation, Respawn Entertainment and EA have today announced the start date for Season 1 of Apex Legends and it's kicking off sooner than you might think. You'll also immediately unlock the Lifeline Revolutionary skin, the Wraith Survivor skin, and the Mirage Outlaw skin simply for buying the Battle Pass.

He also clarified in a separate post that player and Battle Pass levels "are completely independent and don't impact each other". Like other Battle Pass style content drops, you will then be able to level-up the Battle Pass each time you play, earning more rewards in the form of skins, icons, and more.

If you decide to not pick up the Battle Pass, there are also free rewards up for grabs for everyone. The battle pass FAQ states the Apex Coin rewards are unlocked at levels 7, 11, 17, 21, 31, 37, 41, 47, 57, 63, 67, 87, and 97. Turns out the leaks surrounding Apex's latest addition were pretty spot on; a post on PlayStation Blog describes the fresh-faced Legend as a breath of fresh air, and he'll be available to play tomorrow, when Season 1 begins in earnest. We're not sure if Octane will be available right when season 1 starts, but a glance at the official Apex Legends website confirms that he'll launch at some point during the season. For those who don't purchase the Battle Pass, they can still earn one Wild Frontier Legend skin, five Apex Packs and 18 Wild Frontier stat trackers for free.

"To get the Battle Pass, jump into Apex Legends and head to the Battle Pass tab in the store". Although your battle pass level is separate from your player level, they are both increased by playing matches and earning XP.
