"Captain Marvel" will release on March 8.

Another new TV spot for Captain Marvel has arrived online (via Comic Book), featuring new footage from the film including a amusing scene of the cat Goose inside a jet.

The movie follows Carol, a former US Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite alien Kree military team, before returning home when Earth is caught in the centre of a galactic conflict between two extra-terrestrial worlds.

What's more, the royal blue and gold colour of the gown channelled Larson's costume in the film - which was in turn inspired by the illustrations which depict a series of Captain Marvel superheroes in the original Marvel comics.

Larson co-stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Ben Mendelsohn and Jude Law. We've also included some other recent videos because we know you just can't get enough Captain Marvel right now.

Maria's presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe obviously lays an important bit of groundwork for Monica's potential elevation to superhero status in the future, but according to the film's stars, there's much more emotional and narrative substance to her dynamic with Carol that's important to the film.

"These movies matter", one Twitter user wrote alongside pictures of Larson and Illie chatting on the red carpet.
