Cristiano Ronaldo fined for celebration in Juventus Champions League win

Ronaldo's words suggest he is happy at Juventus, despite reports last month suggesting he was underwhelmed.

Juventus have confirmed their participation in the event with the official programme to be unveiled on March 27. Manchester United and Tottenham, who have played in the US and in Europe in past tournaments, will also play in Asia this summer.

Juve's star man is facing rape allegations in the USA over claims he sexually assaulted Kathryn Mayorga in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009 and later paid her $375,000 in hush money over the incident.

However, the ESPN FC source close to tournament organisers said it was not accurate to say that fears of Ronaldo being detained in the United States as part of the alleged rape investigation in Las Vegas were a determining factor.

The winger continues to be linked with a number of top European clubs, with Manchester United still heavy favorites to land the former Tottenham Hotspur man who has found life hard this season in a troubled campaign for Real Madrid.
