Huawei set to launch new smartwatch alongside P30 and P30 Pro

The smartphone giant is set to announce its P30 Series range of phones at an event in Paris, where it will look to position itself as the new leader in mobile technology. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are the company's latest endeavors to present users with not just best-in-class performance, but also the most advanced photography experience on a smartphone. Storage is further expandable via Huawei's proprietary NM cards.

With a 6.47-inch FullHD+ OLED display, the P30 Pro has a whopping 8GB of RAM with the option of a 512 GB storage. There is a tiny notch at the top that houses the 32MP selfie shooter. Underneath the display panels, Huawei has included in-display fingerprint sensors.

If you're into buying a brand new Huawei P30 or P30 Pro, they'll be available in five colors: Breathing Crystal, Pearl White, Amber Sunrise, Aurora, and Black.

Coming to the video capabilities, well, Huawei boasts that the P30 series can capture a stunning night-time video - giving new meaning to your candlelight dinners or bonfires, thanks to the new SuperSpectrum sensor.

That main event is the Huawei P30 Pro, which includes a quad-lens camera system that was made in partnership with Leica.

If you still needed a reason to spend money on a compact camera, it would have been for zoom reach, as even the best smartphone cameras could not provide usable zoom image quality beyond a 5x factor.

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro have been generously leaked in the last few weeks, giving fans an early peek into what to expect from the latest flagships.

Huawei notes that while the P20 Pro unveiled in 2018 has a max ISO of 102400 that matches the Canon 5D Mark IV in sensitivity, the P30 Pro blows both of those devices out of the water with ISO 409600. The P30, on the other hand, will have a triple rear camera setup with a 40-MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 16-MP wide-angle sensor, and a 8-MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

On Twitter, Huawei revealed some key information firstly, it was the one to reveal that the device would be called the P30. The Pro version has a larger 6.47-inch FHD+ curved OLED display. In addition to eight CPU cores, the Kirin 980 also packs two neural processing units (NPUs) to help in machine learning tasks, including faster image recognition. Backed by a 4,200mAh battery, the P30 Pro offers reverse wireless charging, just like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The P30 Pro has a photo score of 119 and a video score of 97 for an overall score of 112. The fourth sensor will be a ToF camera. Here there is a standard 40MP sensor and lens, a super-wide angle lens and a 5x optical zoom lens.

The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro run on Android 9 Pie with the company's EMUI 9.1 on top.
