Janice Freeman Dead - 'The Voice' Star Dies at 33

One of The Voice's most memorable contestants - Season 13's Janice Freeman - has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 33. She had beaten cervical cancer by the time she auditioned for the show and vowed to forge a better future for herself, husband, and young daughter. She died Saturday evening, ET said.

It's truly sad to lose Freeman's impressive vocal talents so soon; she was just 33 years old at the time of her passing yesterday.

Freeman was from Covina and lived in Compton, according to the singing competition's website.

Freeman was also survived by her daughter, Hannah.

Our thoughts are with Janice's loved ones at this hard time.

Freeman was reportedly at home with her husband on Saturday when she started complaining that she was having trouble breathing. He performed CPR until the paramedics arrived, then Freeman was rushed to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The singer, who starred on the United States version of the singing competition, passed away on Saturday from a blood clot, according to TMZ.

She quickly became one of Cyrus' favorites on the show thanks to her impressive vocal talents and ability to execute unbelievable performances week after week on stage (as you can see in a video of one of Freeman's performances, above!). "@MileyCyrus you are one of my closest friends and what you did for me and my family Im praying GOD gives you the desire of your heart!" "You got somebody that got your back".

Hudson sent her condolences to the Freeman family via Instagram. "This represents you perfectly".
