Jets to sign 4-time Pro Bowl LB Barr

- One day after telling the New York Jets he would sign with them, Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr has made a decision to stay in Minnesota, according to reports.

Details of the contract agreed upon between the Vikings and Barr were shared on Twitter by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

With incentives, the deal could reach $77.5 million for Barr. The Vikings declined to franchise tag Barr by the deadline last week. The contract includes $33 million in guaranteed money, according to an National Football League source.

Barr's reversal stole the headlines on a day where the Vikings saw both Richardson and Latavius Murray set to depart for other teams; the running back reportedly agreed to a four-year, $14 million deal to join the Saints.

Barr has been a starter with the Vikings since they drafted him ninth overall in 2014 and has been named to the Pro Bowl the past four seasons. Barr, 26, has earned a Pro Bowl spot in Minnesota each of the past four seasons.

Barr's made it known that he would like to be more of a pass-rusher, and it looks like the Jets' deficiencies on the edge will give him every conceivable chance to rush the passer on a regular basis.

Barr's fate had been a hot topic among the Vikings' past two offseasons as the team tried to extend all of their young players while also making a major financial commitment to new quarterback Kirk Cousins.
