While the Redmi 7's benchmark listing confirms a number of expected and previously revealed specs, the exact processor used is still a mystery, unfortunately.

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 7 smartphone today at an event in China alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which has already been launched in India. The Redmi 7 serves as the successor to the Xiaomi Redmi 6, which was launched a year ago alongside Redmi 6 Pro and the Redmi 6A, and starts at 699 yuan ($105).

For the Chinese market, the phone will launch in three options: 2GB of RAM with 16GB storage, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage, and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage. On the rear, the device sports 12MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the rear.

Along with the rear-facing fingerprint sensor, the device can also be unlocked via AI face unlock using the front camera. The rear camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p. The company hasn't gone into much detail but the button layout on top of the washing machine is pretty simplistic too, in true Xiaomi fashion.
