System Shock 3 Gets a Teaser Trailer at Unity's GDC Keynote

OtherSide Entertainment's first official teaser gives us a look at the "pre-alpha in-engine" footage of what appears to be a space station under the control of the crazed AI SHODAN.

Yesterday during Unity's GDC 2019 presentation, Otherside Entertainment revealed a brand-new trailer showing off System Shock 3, its new entry in the beloved and classic sci-fi action-adventure series. And that was the last we heard of the series, though Deus Ex and BioShock are in many ways considered spiritual successors of System Shock. Are you looking forward to a return of System Shock? SHODAN, the series' primary antagonist, is back and so are a few enemy types from the original games.

The upcoming game has gone through several ups and downs in recent years including the departure of its publisher, Starbreeze, which is going through financial problems. Still, it would be great if we had some information about the game's setting and story. Though we are expecting the game to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One whenever it does.

There's no concrete details on what platforms System Shock 3 will launch on or when it will release, but it's nice to finally see a glimpse of the game after so long. But at the moment neither Studio has a release date set for their game, something that many fans are viewing as a race to see which comes out first.
