Aaron Judge Injury: Star Slugger Latest Yankee To Land On Injured List

In the third inning of Saturday's Royals-Yankees contest in the Bronx (KC-NYY GameTracker), New York's Gleyber Torres sent a Heath Fillmyer fastball deep to left. Manager Aaron Boone said he will likely head to the injured list.

Infielder Thairo Estrada, the only remaining healthy position player on the 40-man roster, was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

NY has been forced to call up minor leaguers, and they have surprisingly performed well.

Stanton aside, the Yankees will need reserve outfielders Brett Gardner, Clint Frazier and Mike Tauchman to continue offering the solid to great production they've posted this season. He will get an MRI and be evaluated at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and it's now unclear how serious of an injury this is or could be.

Yankees injuries right now include Troy Tulowitzki, Greg Bird, Aaron Hicks, Dellan Betances, Luis Severino, Didi Gregorius, and Giancarlo Stanton.

The only good news though is catcher Gary Sanchez could return to the lineup as early as next week, which would make it a whole lot easier for Aaron Boone to find some offense.

He had homered in the first for a team already missing a dozen players because of injuries.
