'Avengers: Endgame' tickets crush records, going for $500 on eBay

The cinema owners across the country announced that much-awaited Marvel movie "Avengers Endgame" will be released in Pakistan this month.

According to Fandango, Avengers Endgame broke Star Wars The Force Awakens' first 24-hour pre-sale record in just six hours.

"And they were like 'well, we can't tell you because it's a secret.' I'm like, 'okay so what does he look like?' And they're like 'well, we can't tell you because that would give it away, so I'm like 'how big is he?' 'Well, we can't tell you because that would give it away'".

The new Avengers movie, which brings together multiple comic book characters - including Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Thor and Ant-Man - marks the conclusion of 22 Marvel films.

Overwhelming demand for tickets left Davis musing that, while he would "hesitate to call #AvengersEndgame the most anticipated movie of all time", he has "never seen anything like this before". In just six hours, the movie easily claimed the ticket seller's first day USA sales record from its previous holder, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Either way, we'll find out when Avengers: Endgame is unveiled on April 25.

On eBay, a single ticket for a first-day IMAX screening in Hollywood was being offered for $500.

Fans were not impressed, with many taking to social media to complain.

One user joked they felt like the supervillain Thanos from the series, writing: "How I feel now that I got my Avengers: Endgame ticket". Five hours later Bakuhoe tweeted, "It was fun waiting with y'all, hope you all get tickets and we can suffer at the diabolical hands of Marvel together".
