Mohamed Salah video abuse is 'disgusting' says Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

This comes just a month after Chelsea officials slammed Dynamo Kiev supporters for racially abusing Callum Hudson-Odoi during the London club's Europa League tie against the Ukrainian side on March 14. We condemn this kind of thing.

Chelsea have been praised for their swift response to racist chanting aimed at Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah.

A further three fans have reportedly been identified by the club but failed to report to the Sinobo Stadium in the Czech capital after the video - in which they are easily identifiable - spread quickly on social media in the hours before Thursday evening's kick-off. It was stupid to do that.

"This behaviour needs to be called out for what it is - unadulterated bigotry", a statement declared. Whatever you did in the past is nice because we have had very good results at Anfield, but we have to prove ourselves again on Sunday. I did not want to speak about the video because I didn't see it and I don't know the details.

When asked if Sunday was a chance to restore the club's pride, Sarri said: Yes, I think so.

"But for our supporters it is a very great opportunity".

Hazard has scored seven and assisted two in his last nine games for club and country, and produced a stunning display as the Blues beat West Ham 2-0 last time out in the Premier League.

Thursday night though was yet another occasion when Chelsea fans have disgraced themselves, especially in this season's Europa League campaign.

In 2015 four Chelsea fans were banned for abusing a black man on the Paris metro before the club's Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool will look to stay ahead of Manchester City in the title race as they face the side who threw their 2014 challenge off course.

The Liverpool boss blasted the Chelsea supporters responsible and said they should be banned for life from football.

"We need to keep the solidity we have shown in the last few games, and defend well".

In fact, Liverpool have never gone seven Premier League games without a home win against an opponent and will be desperate to avoid that unwanted record at such a critical stage.
