Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stopped using Facebook due to 'public health risk'

Ocasio-Cortez, in an interview on the Yahoo News podcast "Skullduggery", said social media has become a "public health risk" leading to "increased isolation, depression, anxiety, addiction, escapism". "I haven't endorsed anybody, but I'm very supportive of Bernie".

By promoting ambitious forward-thinking policies including the Green New Deal, a bill to address human-induced climate-change, Ocasio-Cortez has found herself the preferred target of white conservative ire in the U.S. - including becoming the recipient of multiple death threats, according to reports.

Scaramucci said New Yorkers are "tired" of the congresswoman. I said to them: "Anything you're about, I got that sign in my basement 20 years ago".

Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's name is on the lips of almost everyone at Fox News. A separate Pew Research survey found that 74 percent of USA adult Facebook users have done one of the following: changed their privacy settings, taken a break from the platform or deleted it. She launched her presidential exploratory committee Dec 31, 2018 and officially announced she was running on February 9, 2019.

Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) went on to describe Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a "Trump-like figure" following his announced plans to formally annex Jewish settlements on the West Bank.

Warren's campaign is lagging behind many other Democrats.

Despite this popularity, Ocasio-Cortez says she doesn't know if she would consider running for for president in the future.

Ocasio-Cortez's disengagement from Facebook also tracks broad trends in social media use among young people. Pro-Israel activists, she said, were pushing members of Congress to have "allegiance to a foreign country".

"I think these are part of conversations we are having in our caucus", the congresswoman added.

"You want to tell people that their concern and their desire for clean air and clean water is elitist?" said Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.

It should also be noted that the 10-year, $38 billion aid package enacted by the Obama Administration in 2018 was constructed with a built-in schedule of eliminating Israeli companies from benefiting from it. Israel will have lost an estimated 22,000 jobs by the year 2028, when a new aid package will or will not be forged.
