Fmr. UA assistant says Miller paid Ayton $10K a month

While being questioned by Mark Moore, one of co-defendant Merl Code's attorneys, Dawkins said he had a "pretty good" relationship with Miller. Here is the transcript of the recording between Richardson and Dawkins, according to Yahoo!

While talking about Ayton, Richardson told Dawkins, "Sean's got to get the [expletive] out of the way and let us work".

Dawkins: "We'll see how Sean plays it out." .

"You know what he bought per month", Richardson said on the call concerning what Richardson believed was Miller's agreement with Ayton.

"I told you, 10", Richardson responded.

Dawkins: "He's putting up some real money for them (expletive)".

"But that's his fault", Richardson said.

The calls also touch on Alkins, after Richardson reportedly told Dawkins that Dawkins didn't need to pay to land Alkins because Miller allegedly was already involved in payments. He told a federal jury that the money was meant to pay expenses for the family of SC basketball player P.J. Dozier, a top NBA prospect at the time. "So it ain't no expense to Rawle".

On Wednesday afternoon, Arizona head basketball coach Sean Miller was implicated once again in college basketball's "pay for play" scandal.

Miller, who led the men's hoops program at Xavier University for five seasons before becoming head coach at Arizona in 2009, has denied violating any NCAA rules.

ESPN reported in February 2018 that Federal Bureau of Investigation wiretaps also intercepted a call between Dawkins and Miller, in which Miller discussed a $100,000 payment that secured Ayton's commitment to the Wildcats. But Dawkins wouldn't back down from claims he never paid them off. "Any reporting to the contrary is inaccurate, false and defamatory".

Sean Miller is in deep trouble. That's when Miller came up. Ayton never missed a game during his time at Arizona. "I never have and I never will". Despite Ayton coming to Arizona, they still lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament in 2018 to Buffalo.

"I have nothing to hide from that standpoint", he said.

On April 19, A federal judge ruled that Miller will not testify in this ongoing college basketball bribery trial.

Dawkins is in the midst of testifying on the stand in his own defense, according to reporters at the trial; Richardson previously pleaded guilty in this case and will be sentenced May 30.

Even with these allegations, there has been no clear evidence establishing Miller's direct role in paying players or that an Arizona player received payment from Richardson or Miller.
