'Being at home helps us, we'll have the fans behind us and there's still that sense of belief.
Just when Liverpool fans thought they had seen it all - the so-called "Miracle of Istanbul" in particular, but also those storied comebacks at Anfield against Saint-Etienne, Olympiakos and Borussia Dortmund down the years - along came another European night that just might top them all.
Alisson was also back into his work as Suarez sprung the Reds' offside trap - a stop that looked even more vital when Wijnaldum drove Alexander-Arnold's next delivery from open play through Ter Stegen's grasp.
Neither Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino nor Naby Keita will be in Anfield on Tuesday, where Liverpool will seek their second consecutive final in the competition. Instead, the England footballer took a quick low corner straight into the Barcelona box, which went straight to Dannic Origi who was completely unmarked.
'Obviously we were massively disappointed with the result [in Barcelona] but in terms of the performance I think it was maybe one of the best in the season so far, ' he said at a press conference on Monday.
'We never took our chances on the night and hopefully if we get the same types of chances tomorrow we'll be able to put them away and punish them'.
Of more concern to Liverpool at the moment is the absence of their key players. But after recognizing that the Barcelona defense wasn't paying attention, Alexander-Arnold sprinted back to the ball and swung it towards the goal, finding the foot of Divock Origi, who found the back of the net.
"I think it was more about the team", he said. "We train with different line-ups and different players in different positions".
The 20-year old felt that it is going to be "really hard" for them but they still got that belief to produce one of those special nights.
Meanwhile, Andy Robertson believes Liverpool have to produce the ideal game if they are to turn around the tie.
The pair have scored 42 goals between them this season.
"We need a ideal game with a bit of luck because they will be thinking if they get a goal it kills the tie", said the Scotland captain. "We always believe but 3-0 against Barcelona is a bit different to scoring a late goal because you are starting three behind". It will be a hell of a task but there is still hope.
"We all know you need luck in this situation or a genius moment like Trent Alexander-Arnold. We can not let it stand like this", he added.
"I'm sure the fans believe we have it in us, especially a team like this".
