Police responded to a phone call in the early hours of the morning around 12:43 a.m. local time regarding a physical altercation with an adult woman at the home of Schroder, 49, in Topanga, California.
Ricky Schroder has been arrested for felony domestic violence.
The alleged victim refused medical treatment at the scene, but according to TMZ, it wasn't the first time the couple had been visited by authorities.
The actor, best known for his TV roles on "Silver Spoons" and "NYPD Blue", is now in custody after being arrested for domestic violence, according to a statement obtained by CNN from Sheriff's officials.
Rick was taken into custody, and bail was set at $50,000.
Schroder allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face when she tried to leave the home, according to the outlet.
He was released on bail following that incident, and prosecutors at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined to pursue charges due to lack of sufficient evidence.
Schroder made his film debut as Jon Voight's son in the film "The Champ" in 1979 and won a Golden Globe for his performance in the movie.
Although it is unclear who Schroder is now dating, he and his ex-wife, Andrea, split in September 2016 after 24 years of marriage.
His ex-wife cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and reportedly filed just weeks shy of the couple's 24th wedding anniversary.
