Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' trailer is finally here

Ahead of its world premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, Quentin Tarantino has unveiled the first full trailer for his anticipated 9th film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The clip's release coincided with Once Upon A Time In Hollywood being screened for the first time at the Cannes International Film Festival in France on Tuesday. DiCaprio plays washed-up TV star Rick Dalton, while Pitt portrays his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth. Oh, and you get DiCaprio - as his actor character Rick Dalton, playing another character in a movie-in-a-movie - shouting "burn you Nazi bastards!" Meanwhile, Dalton lives next door to rising star Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), who eventually met a awful end at the hands of the Manson Family.

The much awaited movie Once Upon A Time in Hollywood has finally made its Cannes premiere at the ongoing mega event at French Riviera. Kyle Buchanan of the New York Times said, "There will be many, many hot takes on the new Tarantino, but I don't mind letting mine cool off on the counter a little longer".

As with Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained before it, Tarantino's latest really seems to revel in the style of its period, evoking a rush of nostalgia for 1969 Hollywood that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood may be looking to subvert.

Stay tuned for those initial Cannes reactions, and catch the film in United Kingdom cinemas on 14 August - frustratingly three weeks later than the 26 July US release.

Other critics weighed in, applauding the gritty look at Hollywood and the Charles Manson murders.
