The dinner came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah met all the central ministers, including those from NDA partners, at the BJP headquarters in Delhi to thank them for their work during the last five years. He said the election narrative was seeing a change and said "the poor were the biggest caste".

The NDA has also committed to invest Rs. 25 lakh crore in the farm and rural sectors in the next five years.
