Starbucks Dragon Drink on Permanent Menu, Debuts Summer Frappuccinos

All of the new and returning menu options are available from today, April 30, at Starbucks locations on both the U.S. and Canada.

Starbucks announced three new summer drinks will be added to the menu Tuesday, joining fan favorite S'mores Frappuccino.

For summer, Starbucks also has a Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino, and the previously announced S'mores Frappuccino, which is returning thanks to customer feedback.

The recipe actually comes from Starbucks' customers, who last summer touted the combination, suggesting on social media for others to order the "secret menu" item by adding coconut milk to the Mango Dragonfruit Refreshers.

Tuesday also marks the return of Starbucks' famous S'mores Frappuccino, a popular summer drink that was discontinued previous year.

Meanwhile, the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino has whipped cream and dark caramel sauce at its base, followed by a blend of the caramel sauce mixed with coffee, milk and ice and - you guessed it - topped with more whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It is then all layered on top of some whipped cream and chocolate cookie crumble.

"We have seen when we introduce more of our cold beverage innovation...our nonmembers [of Starbucks Rewards] tend to shop with us in the afternoons", Starbucks COO Roz Brewer said last week during the company's quarterly conference call with analysts, according to CNBC.

The drink will be back on menus next week.

Starbucks had been moving away from its limited-time Frappuccino offerings, after failing to duplicate the success of its Unicorn Frappuccino in 2017.
