De Ligt to snub Premier League interest for Juventus

De Ligt has snubbed Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid and Manchester United to sign for the Italian champions in a deal worth £62.5million, according to Sky Italia and Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

As we reported earlier Europe's most sought after young player De Ligt looks to have made a decision to move to Turin in a £62 million deal, with the Italian side beating off competition from Manchester United, Barcelona and PSG to sign the highly-rated 19-year-old.

Meanwhile, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici and De Ligt's agent, Mino Raiola, are old friends and the Italian champions are also interested in acquiring the player's services while Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on the situation.

De Ligt has been pretty heavily linked with both PSG and Barcelona in recent weeks.

De Ligt could be Maurizio Sarri's first signing as Juventus manager after leaving Chelsea earlier this month. "But I didn't say anything", De Ligt had told the Netherlands' NOS television.

The Dutch global is said to have decided to make the switch to Turin on a five-year deal that would see him earn between €15 and €20 million a season, although the details are yet to be finalized.

There is huge interest from Europe's top clubs in the centre-back, who captained Ajax to a domestic double as well as playing a key role in their progress to the Champions League semi-final.
