Gwyneth Paltrow Forgets She Was in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has now gotten so big and sprawling that some actors can't even remember exactly how numerous franchise's movies they appeared in.

What do think of this hilarious moment between Gwyneth Paltrow and Jon Favreau? The first episode finds Favreau and Choi truck to Goop headquarters to cook a pepper pot with Pepper Potts herself.

Don't ask Gwyneth Paltrow to list all seven Marvel movies she appears in.

Jon Favreau: No, but Spider-Man also. Still, it's pretty wonderful to find out that she, very genuinely, had absolutely no idea she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming. While Gwyneth Paltrow initially stated she was not in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Jon Favreau quickly reminded her of the details of the scene and a seemingly surprised Paltrow replied, "That was Spider-Man?"

That's right - she seems to have forgotten (or perhaps ever even known) that the scene in which Tony Stark and Pepper Potts hold a press conference to announce Spider-Man as an Avenger took place in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

"That was Spider-Man?!?" laughs Paltrow.

"Yes we were", Favreau says.

"No, I was in Avengers..."

Gwyneth Paltrow: We weren't in Spider-Man. If you starred in over 40 movies, you might not remember all of them. "I think when we did [the first] Iron Man, Marvel had no idea what it would be, and this level of success it would have, and all the other movies that would come out of it, so it's pretty cool".

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released in theaters on July 2, 2019. When he brought that specific experience up with the actress on the show, she was beyond confused.
