The Queen wore a turquoise suit dress with a floral print beneath. The first lady was wearing a belted light brown coat with a dark shirt underneath coupled with a pair of black stiletto pumps.

The Trumps and the royals then went inside the palace, through the Bow Room, where the Queen introduced senior members of her household to her guests and in-turn the USA leader did the same with prominent figures from his entourage.

Melania Trump looked the picture of elegance on Wednesday, at the National Commemorative Event for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings at Southsea Common, Portsmouth, alongside over 300 D-Day veterans. The couple is expected to have tea with Prince Charles and Camilla at Clarence House this afternoon as well as take a tour of Westminster Abbey with Prince Andrew. However, we spied that the UK Prime Minister also wore a cream hat - just like Melania's!

After landing, President Trump wrote on Twitter, "I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit". Perched on top of Melania Trump's head was a sleek white hat featuring a navy band around the brim designed by her couturier, Hervé Pierre. Meanwhile, Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump's daughter from his first marriage, posed for photos alongside her brothers Eric and Donald Jr. after the meal, writing, "Beautiful dinner hosted by Ambassador and Mrs Johnson, POTUS and FLOTUS in honor of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall". She completed her look with Manolo Blahnik heels.
