Norwich To Resist Selling Manchester United and Tottenham Linked Max Aarons

Manchester United are considering a move for PSV Eindhoven defender Denzel Dumfries as a potential alternative to Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Crystal Palace want a deal worth more than £50million for Wan-Bissaka, who scored the own-goal that condemned England Under-21s to defeat in their first European Championship game against France.

The last season saw the 21-year-old make 39 appearances, registering four assists in the process.

Other right-back targets include Max Aarons of Norwich City FC, Thomas Meunier of French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj.

Late goals from Jonathan Ikone and the Wan-Bissaka own goal put France in the lead after Phil Foden had opened the scoring for England early in the second half.

Wan-Bissaka fits the mold of player that Manchester United are reportedly looking to build around, as they aim to take a different direction in their rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United have responded with an improved offer of £55 million for the England U-21 global according to the Daily Record, which Crystal Palace are believed to have accepted.

Wan-Bissaka is an outstanding talent and would be a serious loss for Crystal Palace, but having £45 million in the transfer kitty would not only allow Roy Hodgson to secure a replacement of the right quality but also bolster the rest of his squad as well.
