Prince Harry shares photo of son Archie to mark Father's Day

And, in honor of the occasion, the Duke of Sussex is posting an adorable photo of himself and the new royal sharing a sweet father-son moment on Instagram.

Only a few pictures have been released of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor since he was born weighing 7lb 3oz on 6 May.

The Father's Day post on Instagram is one of Archie's first photos shared in public.

In the picture, Archie's tiny hand grabs Harry's finger and stares directly into the camera, offering a first look at his stunning eyes. "This is the first Mother's Day for The Duchess of Sussex".

It was captioned: "Paying tribute to all mothers today, past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered".

On Monday, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan sent their well-wishes to Harry's grandfather on his 98th birthday, affectionately referring to the Duke of Edinburgh as "grandpa".

Prince Harry is marking his first Father's Day as a dad and is expected to celebrate privately at home in Windsor.

The caption reads: "Happy Father's Day!".

Prince William also posted a picture on Twitter of himself with his dad, Prince Charles, leaving an RAF rescue helicopter.

Meghan later said of Archie at their first photocall: "It's magic".

One was a photograph taken last month of Prince William playing with his third child, Prince Louis, in a garden his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, had helped design for the Chelsea Flower Show. Parenting is fantastic. It's only been two and a half days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.

This the second photo Meghan has shared of her royal baby.

Harry previously spoke about his desire to start a family, saying: "I've longed for kids since I was very, very young".

The Prince of Wales also wished his sons a Happy Father's Day.
