Pakistani military aircraft crashes on training flight, 17 killed

A Pakistani rescue official has said that the small plane was on a training flight. A military statement confirmed the dead include five soldiers. Following the plane crash, teams of Pakistan Army and Rescue 1122 reached and site and controlled the blaze.

Prime Minister Imran Khan offered his condolences to the affected families and wished a "quick recovery for the injured", according to a tweet by the Pakistani government.

The military's information wing said the plane was on a routine training mission when the accident occurred. An investigation was underway.
