Tay-K Sentenced To 55 Years In Prison

The young rapper, who was just 16-years-old at the time of the murder, stood trial as an adult. While on the lam, he recorded and released a music video for his song "The Race" in 2017, which shot him to fame, before he was apprehended.

There are still charges pending against Tay-K. The sentence comes from his half within the 2016 capturing homicide of 21-year-old father Ethan Walker throughout a house invasion in Mansfield, TX. The rapper will be serving these sentences simultaneously.

Tay-K also was charged and given 30 years in prison for one count of aggravated robbery and two 13-year sentences for two additional counts of aggravated robbery related to the home invasion. Tay pleaded not guilty to capital murder and a separate count of aggravated robbery.

A Tarrant County, Texas jury delivered the verdict after three hours of deliberation, according to Fort Worth Star Telegram.

A decision on court's part was to determine if Tay of the guilty whether or not Tay-K should have expected Walker's death while setting up the robbery.

In a swift-moving trial, rapper Tay-K 47 won't be seeing the light of day anytime soon after verdicts were handed down in his murder and aggravated robbery case.

"I have tried to live a good life and I know hate is a very negative emotion but right now there are three people I hate", Richard said to the court, Forth Worth Star-Telegram reported. "One is the planner, one is the person who pulled the trigger and one is the person who profited off of this and saw this as a career move".

Addiitoinally he is facing another capital murder charge in Bexar County, Texas, where he is accused of robbing and fatally shooting Mark Saldivar, 23, in April 2017. "Each lyric to "The Race" is stained with my son's blood".

Tay-K's attorneys argued that he wasn't the person who fired the gun and so shouldn't have been found guilty, according to KTVT.

Richard then addressed Tay-K.
