Adam Schefter reports that Washington has no intentions of trading Trent Williams

Trent Williams' holdout from Washington Redskins training camp may be starting to affect one of the team's youngest assets.

Days after a report that Williams has no intention of ever playing for Washington again, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Washington is rebuffing incoming trade offers for the seven-time Pro Bowler.

Williams has been a holdout throughout training camp and stayed away from the team's mandatory minicamp in June. Despite the organization's willingness to instead threaten the 31-year-old with massive fines as a motivational technique, but that gesture appears to have the opposite effect, with Williams digging his heels in deeper and showing zero signs of a potential return.

It seems like Adrian Peterson is no fan of the Trent Williams situation. In fact, at present, they reportedly don't have plans to move him.

Williams' frustration stems from the diagnosis of a benign tumor on his scalp, which needed to be surgically removed.

It will soon start costing Williams money, however. "You go from not having to worry about the blind-side at all, to having to chip on that side, add a tight end there which changes what you do", Peterson said. Guys are coming off the edge in practice right there on the quarterback and the running back.

But say they came around and decided it would be in the best interest of both parties to figure out a trade.
