Confirmed: iPhone Pro models coming next month with new camera system

Apple is set to launch three new iPhone models next month.

APPLE HAS MORE THAN JUST new iPhones arriving this year, as Bloomberg claims it's also readying iPad Pro, Apple Watch and MacBook hardware for 2019.

Reliable Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman today reveals that we can also look forward to a more robust design for high-end models that uses unspecified "shatter-resistance technology". Read about them below. The new iPhones from Apple will feature the "Pro" branding for the first time. The iPad Pro cameras could also be supported by new AI for automatic image corrections for combining photos if it senses a subject wasn't fully seen in one photo. This new lens will allow users to capture photos and videos with a larger field of view. Photos taken in very low-light environments will improve, too.

New video recording feature will allow users to retouch, apply effects, alter colors, reframe and crop video as it is being recorded.

Apple will be late to this party, but apparently the iPhone 11 will offer reverse wireless charging capability. It doesn't matter that the new camera system is going to be powerful and state-of-the-art, the square bump is a deal-breaker for iPhone fans who have always admired the series' minimalist aesthetics. Well, popular case maker Olixar appears to find some credibility in the reports as it has made a new leather case lineup with dedicated slots for holding a miniaturized Apple Pencil on the rear. So you should be able to use Face ID from different angles and maybe even from a distance while your iPhone 11 lays flat on a table or desk. New models will have new OLED displays with Haptic Touch replacing 3D Touch.

The iPhone XR's successor will gain a second back camera for optical zoom, the ability to zoom in further without degrading quality, and enhanced portrait mode. There's a new component in the chip, known internally as the "AMX" or "matrix" co-processor, to handle some math-heavy tasks, so the main chip doesn't have to.

iPhones coming in 2020 will have 5G and 3-D cameras on the back for much improved AR capabilities.

According to Gurman and Wu, the new 16-inch Macbook Pro will feature thinner bezels and an overall size similar to that of the current 15-inch Macbook Pro models.

It's been suggested by sources speaking with Bloomberg that a new MacBook Pro will be released with a display that's "over 16-inches diagonally".

Apple has already started to roll out major iPad announcements this year with the iPad mini and the return of the iPad Air. There will be new case options. This new model will likely have two tweeters instead of the current HomePod's seven.
