Idrissa Gueye swaps Everton for PSG

Everton have reportedly contacted Southampton to sound out a potential deal for Mario Lemina before the end of the transfer window.

Kean scored six Serie A goals in just 13 games last season - but the three-cap Italy worldwide had just one year left on his contract.

The Toffees have sold midfielder Idrissa Gueye to Paris St-Germain for about £30m, as well as winger Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig for £16m.

Already, Everton have signed midfielders Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph and goalkeeper Jonas Lossl, and many Evertonians are desperate to see The Toffees bring in reinforcements - particular a centre-back and a striker.

PSG tried unsuccessfully to sign Gueye, 29, in January but the former Aston Villa man will now return to Ligue 1 for the first time since he left Lille for Villa Park in 2015.

As confirmed by ESPN FC sources, the Senegal worldwide underwent his medical with the French champions on Monday before signing his new four-year contract at Parc des Princes.

Gueye is the sixth signing to join Thomas Tuchel's side this summer, after Ander Herrera, Pablo Sarabia, Marcin Bulka, Mitchel Bakker, and Abdou Diallo. I will do everything to prove myself worthy of this trust and rapidly integrate myself in a squad with very talented players.

"And of course I can't wait to take in the fantastic atmosphere of the Parc des Princes, which impressed me during my first seasons in France".

"Thank you! Since my arrival I have felt at home at this club, you have welcomed me and my family with open arms", Gueye wrote on Instagram.

"I am grateful to have had the love and support of you all throughout this journey and I must say no matter the weather or performances the support was always there".

"To my teammates and coaches I will miss you and will continue to support you".
