Joe Biden on if Trump is a white supremacist: 'I'm Joe Biden'

Gaffe-prone presidential hopeful Joe Biden put his foot in his mouth during an Iowa campaign stop on Thursday when he told a group of predominately Asian and Hispanic voters that "poor kids are just as bright, just as talented, as white kids". Law enforcement agencies say the suspected gunman was driven by hatred for Hispanics, citing an online manifesto apparently written by the shooter that was rife with anti-immigrant hatred.

In the wake of the racially motivated mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, that killed 22 and left more than two dozen injured, Democratic candidates have been vocal in their denouncement of President Donald Trump, whose rhetoric on immigration aligned with that of the mass shooter.

Biden has been critical of the president in the days following the tragedies in El Paso and Dayton but his remarks Wednesday are his strongest comments yet tying the president to white supremacy and violence.

Mr Trump's aides deny his rhetoric was a cause of the shootings.

He was hounded about using the debunked "very fine people" smear about Charlottesville against President Donald Trump; he was also hounded about whether or not he would call the president a white supremacist. "They are harvested only once they have been planted".

He said the El Paso attack "was sowed by those who spoke the same words the El Paso murderer did: warning of an "invasion".

As the alleged moderate in the 2020 Democratic field, Biden's remarks on gender prove he's anything but.

Parizek says security was a major concern before the recent shootings, given the big crowds and the number of presidential candidates who visit.

'An energetic embrace of this president by the darkest hearts and most hate-filled minds in this country say it all.

In his remarks, Booker rejected the debate over whether Trump is a racist, saying that what really matters is how people intend to address the problem.

But since he didn't explicitly answer that question, Biden was asked again.
