Areola joins Real Madrid; Navas moves to PSG

"Real Madrid C.F. and Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement over the loan of Alphonse Areola for the current campaign".

Navas said: "I'm really excited to sign for Paris Saint-Germain".

Navas was voted best 'keeper in the Champions League in 2018, when he also won UEFA's goalkeeper of the year award.

The two clubs have not made public a fee for the 32-year-old but media in Spain have reported the French club spending around 15 million euros (16.5 million dollars) on the Costa Rican who has been given a five-year contract.

As mentioned, the deal also see Areola join the club on loan for the season, where he is set to act as backup to Courtois.

Bulka, who kept a clean sheet on his debut in PSG's 2-0 victory over Metz on Friday, and former Fulham loanee Rico will now provide back-up to Navas.

In their bid for European glory PSG have tried several goalkeepers in recent seasons with German Kevin Trapp and Italians Salvatore Sirigu and Gianluigi Buffon, at 40, all falling short.

A Sevilla statement said: "Aged 31, Chicharito is the highest scorer in the Mexico national team's history with 51 goals in 108 games".

FC Barcelona had already finished with their new incomings, but they announce that midfielder Rafinha Alcantara signed a new deal before joining fellow LaLiga side on loan for the 2019/2020 season. "The club would like to show their appreciation and love for his behavior and his delivery in the five seasons he has appeared in the Real Madrid shirt".
