Celtics ink Jaylen Brown to $115M contract extension

This season, the rivalry contains some crossed allegiances.

The Boston Celtics officially signed Jaylen Brown to his contract extension.

"It's going to be weird for me", he admitted. It's not just another game. "It's a tall recreation given the competition between Philly and Boston".

The negotiations between Brown and the Celtics had been ongoing for some time now. His resolution to depart was not one thing the crew desired, and Horford referred to as the upcoming reunion "emotional". Accrued, he thinks once the recreation is over, both groups will more than likely be in a screech to pass ahead.

"It's very emotional. A lot of guys you went to battle with, won a lot of games together". A form of respect for the entire gamers and the coaches, correct the organization in most cases.

The deal is surprising considering Brown, 22, is coming off a disappointing season.

Brown has averaged 11.2 points in three pro seasons, including 18 points per game in as many playoff contests during the 2017-18 postseason.

"It's the way this business is".

I mean seriously, it would have been hard to imagine last year's Sixers holding the Hornets' new backcourt (Terry Rozier and Malik Monk) to less than 60, and yet somehow, this new iteration held Walker and Brown to 20 points on 24 shots. It's my future and I gotta take control of it.

The trio remain in Philadelphia, with five-time NBA All-Star Al Horford joining the ranks which could see 6ft 10in Simmons become a regular guard position for the 76ers in a similar line-up as the Milwaukee Bucks, who have NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo at point guard.
