Diggs: 'There's truth to all rumors'

Before Thursday's practice, receiver Stefon Diggs, who issed Wednesday's practice for "non-injury related" reasons, acknowledged that everything isn't going smoothly.

"I haven't spoke to him about it", Diggs said. "You can see where this interview is going".

Diggs said that he was absent Wendesday because he wasn't feeling well. "I'm a little bit under the weather, that's all".

Diggs: "I just answered that question, Chris".

Diggs was asked about the reports he wants to be traded.

"There's truth to all rumors", Diggs told Vikings reporters, via Chad Graff of The Athletic. "I haven't communicated anything". "The conversations I've had [with the Vikings] have only been about team and trying to have success on the field".

Diggs has caught 13 passes for 209 yards and is on a current pace for his worst statistical season since the former fifth-round pick was a rookie back in 2015. Other suggestions include an unhappiness with struggling Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. Diggs is in the first season of a contract extension he signed past year. He is not due to receive the final $5 million of his $15 million signing bonus until March 15 and, Ben Goessling of the Star-Tribune reports, has $10.9 million in base guarantees tied to him being on the roster on March 20. The awful salary cap situation that the Vikings are heading towards in 2020 makes trading the 25-year-old receiver even more of a legitimate possibility as well.

Diggs also was asked point blank if he wanted to be dealt.

Diggs didn't deny (or exactly confirm) that he wants a trade out of Minnesota, Mike Zimmer was silent on the matter, and teammates blamed the media for the whole ordeal even becoming a story. It is clear that Diggs has gotten enough separation in his route running early on in the season, a reason that the majority of receivers in the National Football League would show frustration about if they weren't getting the ball.

So, will Diggs play Sunday against the New York Giants.
