IOS 13 runs on 50% of all iPhones, Apple reveals

Breaking down the adoption numbers further, Apple reveals that while 50% of all iPhones have been updated to iOS 13, the percentage of recent devices (those introduced within the last four years) to make the jump is even higher at 55%.

Apple's iOS 13 has been launched globally for about a month now and already the company has said that almost 50 percent of iOS users have adopted it. Of course, iOS 12 is following with 51% share. That would include the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Apple has already released four updates to iOS 13 since the initial release on September 19. 38% of these models are still running on iOS 12 while 7% are using an older build. For now, only 33% of all iPads run on iPadOS while iPads from the last four years have a wider adoption of 41%. For its lapses in iOS 13, Apple is fortunately at least ready to eschew its fixed release schedules in order to get these patches out as soon as they can. Perhaps a bit earlier than initially planned, Apple has released iOS 13.1.3 that continues the march of fixes to bugs that were sadly never caught during testing.
