Frozen 2 had the highest opening weekend for an animated film in many countries including France, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, the UAE, and Ukraine. Additionally, Frozen 2 also delivered the biggest opening weekend for a Disney Animation title - and second-best for Disney Animation and Pixar - in India.

This latest Dole initiative celebrating Disney's Frozen 2 is part of a multiyear nutritional alliance with The Walt Disney Company.

Five Disney films have made more than $1 billion at the box office this year.

A program highlight is a new collection of 20 original Dole breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert recipes that pays tribute to Disney's Frozen 2. It is the third-highest opening of the year behind The Lion King (£16.7m) and Avengers: Endgame (£43.4m).

"Frozen 2" received a slightly less enthusiastic, though still glowing, reception from audiences, who awarded it an A- CinemaScore compared to "Frozen's" A+. The fresh produce leader is also partnering with top-tier family, health and fitness bloggers and social influencers to host Disney's Frozen 2-themed contests, recipe-development initiatives and other programs.

However scores have been nonetheless very excessive, together with a 93% Rotten Tomatoes viewers score.

Sales for the top 10 films this weekend were expected to decline from the same weekend in 2018, because Thanksgiving came earlier a year ago, making comparisons tough.

"Charlie's Angels" had a dramatic 62% drop from its opening at the domestic box office, only earning $3.1 million in its second weekend. After the popularity of the Disney animation, which centres around the relationship of princess Elsa and her sister Anna, expectations for its sequel had been high. That was roughly on target for the Sony Pictures release, which cost about $25 million to make.

The debut of STX Entertainment's "21 Bridges", a cop thriller starring Chadwick Boseman, landed in fourth with about 9.3 million dollars from 2,665 theaters.
